This note is for internal use only and is not the text that will be used on the website. It is only to convey the themes of the site and/or a few instructions. It starts here:

 Things unique to this site should be: a) Nonprofits can put the logo of our website on their pages to show that they’re climate neutral (and to encourage other nonprofits to do the same). b) we will offer advice and guidelines to the nonprofits on becoming climate neutral; c) Nonprofits will also have the option of offsetting the carbon that was created in order to make the money that funded the nonprofit. In other words, most nonprofits were created by a single wealthy person, and that person’s wealth was created through carbon use since all human activities the last 300 years added carbon to the air.

Thus, nonprofits can do offsets to account for what created the foundation, plus offset the carbon from the activities that their current outgoing grants are paying for. We will also offer a “Grants carbon calculator” that nonprofits can use to calculate how much carbon their grants are likely to generate.

We are going to push nonprofits and foundations to become climate neutral. We will point out the fact that by being climate negative, they are currently contributing to the deaths of innocent people and destruction of lives, and that those things totally contradict the missions of nonprofits and foundations to help others. Nonprofits and foundations need to stop making excuses on this front and at minimum not contribute to harming innocent people.

We are also going to emphasize that if climate chaos is not averted, all nonprofits and foundations are sorts of wasting their time and money because the people they’re trying to serve will be devastated by climate change, including people in the U.S. where people will suffer from economic depressions, new infectious deadly diseases spreading, wildfires, floods, tornadoes and hurricanes, increased political discord and higher levels of mass shootings that result from the despair and anger that climate destruction will cause.


Nonprofits and foundations are the easiest groups to persuade to become climate neutral because the core goals of all of them are to help people and to avoid harming people. Thus sites that specifically focus on them are needed.

 We will have pages at our website where nonprofits can show their calculations of what their carbon impact is, and also show what climate change nonprofits they’ve donated to and what dollar amounts they donated to offset their carbon creation.
